Customer Reward Program Regulations
When you enter your email address anywhere on eFile.com or prepare and successfully eFile a tax return on eFile.com, you are automatically eligible to receive one of these customer reward gifts:
- One of two $100 Amazon.com e-gift cards
- One of two $50 Amazon.com e-gift cards
- One of two $25 Starbucks e-gift cards
- One of three free tax returns via eFile.com (up to a $39 value)
- One of many promo codes for tax return discounts via eFile.com.
This is our way to say thank you to you for visiting, using, preparing, and e-filing your tax returns on eFile.com during any given tax season from January until the April IRS tax deadline.
How Does the eFile Rewards Program Work?
Email entries were due by 11:59 pm (EST), April 15 for the 2023 tax year. No mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. Participation is open only to legal residents of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia who are 18 or older as of the date of entry with a U.S. tax return address. Void outside of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law. You are not eligible to receive a gift if you are not located within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia as the eGift links are not valid outside of the U.S. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Participants can enter their email address on the eFile.com promotion and discount page or any other page where email addresses are collected via tools or tax returns.
Employees, officers, and directors of Taxwork LLC, dba eFile.com and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) are not eligible to receive any of these customer reward gifts.
Selection of Customer Reward Recipients
Nine winners will be selected from nine random database records number queries on or around June 1 following the April deadline.
Upon selection eFile.com will send each selected recipient an email informing them of their Gift. The selected recipient must respond within five (5) business days to claim their Gift. If the selected recipient does not respond to the email within five business days, eFile will select a replacement winner and the original winner will no longer be eligible for this previously selected and offered Gift. If the selected Gift recipient however does respond within the timeframe, eFile will send the winner another email with the eGift link e.g. from Amazon, Starbucks, etc., with instructions on how to activate and use the eFile.com Customer Reward eGift.
Participants who enter the contest but are not selected to win any of the four main reward gifts may receive a consolation reward: a promo code to reduce the cost of their tax return(s) on eFile.com.
eFile.com is not responsible for computer system, phone line, hardware, software, or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, or delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. eFile.com is also not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of information, whether caused by Internet users, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Reward Program, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of the entries in the Reward Program. In addition, eFile.com is not responsible for failed, incomplete, garbled, misdirected, or mis-routed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment associated with or utilized in this Reward Program. In the event of a dispute regarding the individual who actually submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered.
All requested information must be completed to enter. No purchase is necessary to claim the reward gift. Limit one entry per person or email address. By entering, all participants agree to be bound by the official rules of this eFile.com Customer Reward Program. This contest is void where prohibited.
General:
All taxes and any other fees or costs associated with the eGifts not identified above are the sole responsibility of the recipient. The eGifts are nontransferable, and no substitutions or cash redemptions will be made, except as provided herein. In the event any Gift becomes unavailable, eFile.com reserves the right to give a reward gift of equal or greater value. The recipients will be required to confirm recipient notification within 5 business days of the date when such email notification is sent to the recipient, thus all Gifts will be submitted to verified recipients. By entering this Customer Reward Program participants agree to release Taxwork LLC, dba eFile.com, from any and all liability, loss, damage, or injuries of any kind sustained in connection with their participation in the Customer Reward Program or from their acceptance, receipt, possession, and/or use or misuse of any Gift, or for any typographical or other error in the printing, offering, or announcement of any Gift.
Participants further acknowledge that said parties have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Gift, including, but not limited to, its quality or fitness for a particular purpose.
In the event of noncompliance with the official Customer Reward Program regulations, if a selected recipient cannot be reached at the email address in recipient's entry form within 5 business days of the first attempt, or if the eGift notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, the particular Gift will be forfeited, and an alternate recipient will be selected.
eFile.com is not responsible for any damage to a recipient's device or app that is occasioned by participating in this Reward Program. Any dispute or claim arising out of the Customer Reward Program or any disputes with site users which arise as a result of the use of the eFile.com website, shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida without respect to conflicts of laws principles. Any such claim shall be brought and maintained in the federal or state courts of the State of Florida. If any provisions of these official regulations are determined by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, such determination shall not affect the validity or enforce-ability of any other provision. eFile.com assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, theft, or destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Entries that have been tampered with are void. eFile.com reserves the right to disqualify any participant who eFile.com determines, in its sole discretion, has threatened the operation of this Customer Reward Program or website, or violates these official Reward Program regulations. eFile.com reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Customer Reward Program should computer viruses, bugs, or other causes beyond eFile.com’s control corrupt the administration, security, or proper management of this Customer Reward Program. All federal, state, and local laws apply.
