Problem: The IRS—not eFile.com—rejected your return because the Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (IP-PIN) you entered doesn't match IRS records.
Solution: The IRS-issued IP-PIN is required to e-file if you are assigned one. Get a new and free IP-PIN online here:
https://www.irs.gov/identity-theft-fraud-scams/get-an-identity-protection-pin
Once you have this new IP-PIN, sign into your eFile.com account, click on File, proceed through the checkout and efile process again, enter your IP-PIN on the appropriate screen, and re-efile your federal and state returns at no charge.
