Problem: The IRS—not eFile.com—has rejected your return because your date of birth does not match what the IRS has in their records.
Solution: Sign into your eFile.com account, click on My Return, and follow the instructions to make the necessary corrections and re-efile your federal and state returns for free. Your name, date of birth, and social security number are all found under the Name & Address tab.
If you keep getting rejected, the issue is most likely on the IRS side. At this point, you should click on "My Account" and download the PDF file of the tax year in question. Then, print, sign, and mail in your return.
