The NY Dep. of Taxation/Revenue etc. is asking you to make a correction and on your NY Tax Return. Please add form IT-215 in order to claim the NY EIC.
Solution: Please sign in to your eFile.com account now and review the messages on the right side page.
1. Sign in: https://mytaxes.efile.com/1040/SignIn/
2. Then click on State Taxes on the left and on the right side the small blue link: I'd like to see the forms I've filled out or search for a form then select the state in question and edit the form.
3. Click on NY and the down arrow on the right and review your forms and click on the box IT Credits 100 - 200 Series - below that you will see Form IT-215 EIC.
Click on that and Add Form
Then complete the form and re-efile your return at no extra charge.
